Journey Biography

Journey is an American rock band formed in 1973 in San Francisco. The band has gone through several phases, including one dominated by former members of Santana. The band's greatest commercial success came in the early 1980s with a series of power ballads and soaring classics such as "Don't Stop Believin'", "Open Arms", "Separate Ways", and "Faithfully". Many credit the group's success to Steve Perry's powerful vocals and Neal Schon's complex guitar work.

January 21, 2005 will forever be known as “Journey Day,” as declared by Hollywood’s Mayor Johnny Grant. That’s the date JOURNEY—who has sold over 75 million albums worldwide making them the 29th best-selling music group of all time--were honored with the 2,275th Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
