Larry The Cable Guy is a proud blue collar comedian with a strong southern accent, immortalizing a phrase that swept the nation - Git-R-Done."
Larry grew up in Nebraska and moved to California as a teen. He attended King's Academy and worked at Wendy's until he tried his luck at amateur nights in Missouri and started on radio comedy in 1991. In the beginning of his career, he was known for creating fictional characters.
While working in radio, he found his trademark redneck humor, telling tales of his big family," and using his now-famous catchphrases, muttered in a strong Southern dialect. Around that time he also became known for his madder than" jokes, which has evolved into quips such as madder than a one-legged waitress at the IHOP" and happier than a tornado in a trailer park."
His humor helped him to fit right in with the Blue Collar Comedy guys - he joined Jeff Foxworthy, Ron White and others for tours, DVDs and films, plus their television show. Outside of the standup world, he has worked on a lot of d films, including voice roles in Cars" and The
Fox and the Hound 2."
Larry has released three albums to date, Lord, I Apologize," in 2001, The Right to Bare Arms" in 2005 and Morning Constitutions" in 2007. All three albums were successful commercially. He also released two DVDs - Larry the Cable Guy: Git-R-Done" in 2003 and Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector" in 2006.
