Wizards in midst of 5 game road trip
The Washington Wizards are facing their biggest test of the early season, as they are in the middle of a five game road trip.
The Wizards have been a difficult team to figure out so far this season. They are one of just two teams in the entire NBA to have defeated both the Detroit Pistons and San Antonio Spurs, yet their record hovers at the .500 mark. They have not taken advantage of all the injuries the Miami Heat have endured. If the Wizards played better ball to start the year, they could easily be leading the Southeast division.
Guard Gilbert Arenas did miss some time with an injury, but by and large the Wizards have been very fortunate in how healthy they have stayed collectively as a team.
It will be interesting to see if the Wizards get involved in the Ron Artest trade talks. They certainly have pieces that would work for the Indiana Pacers. Forward Caron Butler, G Jarvis Hayes, F Jared Jeffries and G Antonio Daniels would all likely draw serious interest from the Pacers
Artest is crazy and could cause serious problems, but if head coach Eddie Jordan can keep him under control, he could be a huge contributor and a major upgrade.
