Mariah Carey, who recently launched her new album The Emancipation of Mimi, is celebrating her sixteenth number-one Billboard Top 100 single. The ballad We Belong Together, off the album The Emancipation of Mimi, has sold more than 2 million copies in less than two months on the charts. Only the Beatles and Elvis Presley, who had 20 and 18 No. 1 singles, have had more top singles. It's exciting that Mariah seems to be getting back on her feet after having trouble the past several years. I don't know that it's actually sunken in yet, Carey told The Associated Press on Thursday.
