The Greek Orthodox Church asked concert organizers on Monday, May 31, 2005 to cancel a concert by metal band Slipknot. The church complains about the groups references to the devil and sad0-masochistic lyrics. Slipknot was scheduled to play Monday night at an open air theater. Slipknot's song I Am Hated, includes the lyrics: The whole world is my enemy — and I'm a walking target / Two times the devil with all the significance / Dragged and raped for the love of a mob / I can't stay — because I can't be stopped. This is censorship rearing it's ugly head once again. I don't know - it is a different country though. I say let the public decide.
