The Maryland Terrapins have had mixed results so far at the ultra-competitive Maui Invitational. In the first round, #20 Maryland fell to #9 Gonzaga, 88-76. The Terps led at halftime but a stretch during the second half where they went cold from the field and couldn't stop the 'Zags offense proved to be too much. In their second game, the Terps fell behind Division II Chaminade by double-digits in the first half before rallying to pull within two by halftime. The Terps then came out of the locker room firing on all cylinders to turn a close game into a rout with a 98-69 victory. Positives from the second game included a very balanced scoring attack that featured five players in double figures and a better defensive effort in the second half. The Terps will take on the winner of Kansas vs. Arkansas next.
