The New York Giants beat the Washington Redskins 24-17 on Sunday after being down 3-17 at halftime. The Giants improved their record to 1-2 while the Redskins fell to 2-1. Clinton Portis and Chris Cooley each scored a touchdown for the Redskins. Kicker Shaun Suisham completed a 47 yard field goal with no time left in the first half to give the Redskins a 14-point lead. Washington went scoreless in the second half. New York’s Reuben Droughns ran in two of the team’s three touchdowns. The other was scored by Plaxico Burress on a 33 yard pass from Eli Manning.
