The Washington Redskins beat the Philadelphia Eagles 20-12 on Monday Night. With the win, the Redskins improved their record to 2-0 and are tied with the Dallas Cowboys for first in the NFC East. The Eagles dropped to 0-2 and are tied with the New York Giants at the bottom of the NFC East.
Philadelphia quarterback Donovan McNabb was unable to complete a touchdown pass in his sixth loss in seven games. Kicker David Akers scored all of the Eagles points, completing four field goals.
Washingtons Chris Cooley scored the teams first touchdown, catching a 16-yard pass from quarterback Jason Campbell. Clinton Portis scored the other touchdown on a six-yard run.
