The Kansas City Royals went into eleven innings to beat the Seattle Mariners 3-2, ending the Mariners' eight-game winning streak. Seattle is now 45-34 on the season while Kansas City is 35-48. Jose Guillen's two-run RBI in the first gave Seattle a 2-0 lead. The Mariners, however, did not score for the rest of the game. David DeJesus scored all three of Kansas City's runs, including a solo homer in the third to tie the game at 2-2.
