The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Milwaukee Brewers 9-5 on Sunday. The Cards now have a record of 49-53 while the Brewers are at 57-49.

The Brewers took a 5-0 lead in the fifth inning with Yovani Gallardo’s two-RBI single. Pitcher Gallardo did not allow a single hit until the bottom of the fifth when he allowed four runs and four hits.

The Cardinals came back from a 5-0 deficit by scoring four runs in the fifth and five in the eighth. Scott Rolen tied the game with an RBI single which marked his 1000th career RBI.
