Ron White found his niche in comedy as a founder of Blue Collar Comedy, poking fun at his Southern roots.
White began his career with a DC in 1990, Tater Salad aka Busted in Des Moines.” He didnt really hit the big time until Drunk in Public” in 2003 and They Call Me Tater Salad” in 2004. You Cant Fix Stupid” was released in 2006, as was the DVD The Ron White Show.”
Redneck humor was all the rage early in the decade, fueled by primary funnyman Jeff Foxworthy. The funnymen worked together several times, including the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, which created Ron White, Jeff Foxworthy & Bill Engvall: Live from Las Vegas: in 2004. Other Redneck involvements include the Redneck Comedy Roundup in 2005. White is the only Blue Collar comedian that chose not to star on the Blue Collar TV” series. He went on to star in the WB Networks The Ron White Show.”
White is known for wearing all black and often smoking cigarettes on stage. He also likes to drink Scotch whisky, usually Johnnie Walker, during his act. He is also known by his alias, Tater Salad,” which is a primary part of his routine.
